The bicycles and panniers are packed up and stored (til next year?) and now we make our way to Prague for the flight home via Berlin and Bad Schandau. Our dear friend, Anne (Toni’s sister) picked us up in Haßleben and drove us to her Mother’s (Hildegard’s, who just celebrated her 84 the birthday!) house where we had a lovely visit. It had been 9 years ago on our first bicycle tour with Toni’s help that we first met his mother at her 75th birthday party. Since then she and her husband Alex visited Canada and stayed in our house while we were away a few years ago.

This morning we explored the multi-level Berlin Hauptbahnhof….a wonder of a glass building!

And now we are in Bad Schandau which is a tourist center for hiking in the Saxon Switzerland mountains as well as mountain biking, climbing and cycling the Elbe Radweg….so much to do and so little time!
