Today was another lovely day with warm temps of 18C, a light breeze and blue skies. From Templin to Boitzenberg we were on a smooth paved former rail bed called ‘Spur der Steines’ or Trail of Stones. Not sure how it got that name except that there was the odd pile of stones and some of the benches along the way were supported by stone work.

This pretty plant won “poisonous plant of the year” award in 2006!

Euonymus europaeus, European Spindle a species of flowering plant native to Europe, where it inhabits the edges of forests, hedges and gentle slopes.
