Before our tour of Warnemünde yesterday, we were rode to 3 different bike shops in the area to try to get someone to look at Mark’s bicycle. Everyone was either too busy or couldn’t understand our hopeless explanations in English. The sounds coming from the rear hub were quite loud! Finally when we got back to our apartment, our landlord, Marcel, offered to take us to the Bike Market where they would have a look. The biggest bicycle shop I have ever seen! They actually had a bicycle path through the store on two levels so you could try out the bicycles! The young tech guys spoke English and within 20 minutes had a new rear wheel on Mark’s bike and away we went!
