Phew, finally a few minutes to catch up.

Sunday was a beautiful day to ride the Vennbahn with Lisa and Toni! It was about a 2 hour drive from Gladbeck with the 4 bicycles on a trailer to our hotel in Roetgen which was very handy to the cycle path. We had a picnic lunch in Lammersdorf and then continued on to the Monschau area where we turned back. There were quite a few cyclists out enjoying the gorgeous weather. Toni and Lisa had to return home after a lovely dinner at a local steakhouse in Roetgen.

Monday morning we awoke to some rain and wind which luckily cleared off by the time we finished breakfast. Then it was finally time to get on with our journey! Along our route to Butgenbach, we met a couple from Canmore who were on their first ever cycle tour and were on their way to Luxembourg City.

Today we did a short ride in and out of the raindrops to Losheim along the Kyll Radweg which is also an old railway line. We met up with a friendly group of cyclists (e-bikes) from Netherlands at one of the many picnic stops along the route.
