We arrived at the Gladbeck train station just in time for the rain! So we got pretty wet on the short ride to Toni and Lisa’s place and were very happy to get settled and dry out in their warm and comfortable home! Lisa had even made a big pot of soup…something I had been craving for days had finally appeared! Delicious an.d timely!

Later in the evening we were invited along to a traditional family event to visit the cemetery where many relatives are laid to rest. It was beautiful with the moon and the glowing of many many candles! We then returned home for a big feast where we had a chance to meet Lisa’s sister and brother in law! We truly feel so welcomed into this, our German family!
