Hooray! Finally a mostly sunny day! What a fabulous ride today!

There are way fewer people on the trail this way on the Upper Moselle as opposed to the Lower Moselle nearer the Rhine River.

The area we stayed in last night near Juoy-aux-Arches was a crazy maze of big box stores and some kind of giant wave pool recreation facility. The traffic was nuts…no traffic lights here just lots of roundabouts , as we tried to find a grocery store for our dinner and a bicycle shop for a new odometer.

As per previous trips, we mostly buy our dinners at grocery stores and take salad fixings and some kind of protein back to our room. Lately we have been finding Scottish cold smoked salmon to top our salad and we are always on the lookout for the roast chicken stands. Tomorrow is Sunday and the grocery stores are only open till 1 pm, so we need to buy dinner for 2 nights tonight as we will be staying out in the country tomorrow at a self sufficient gîte with a full kitchen and a barbecue!
