Today’s adventure took us to Wittringen Castle right here in Gladbeck. Its roots go back to the 13th century. We were first taken there 10 years ago on our first visit to celebrate Toni’s mother’s 75th birthday where we met his large extended family and had a beautiful meal and party.

On the grounds is Bird Island where we saw a gorgeous collection of tropical birds!
