Today we headed uphill to El Charco del Ingenio Botanical Garden. The central feature here is a large reservoir to which some treed islands have been added to attract waterfowl and other birdlife. The non profit society is also involved in saving a number of cacti including the golden barrel cactus from disappearing entirely. The weather was the warmest we’ve seen yet…a balmy 23C with a lovely breeze! The pictures capture our most enjoyable walk this afternoon….
