Well, we were having trouble finding a place to stay for tonight (Saturday) so decided to stay here again as it was available…and the breakfast was incredible!

Margareet was out in the garden early picking the flowers/mint. The honey which tasted like flowers was from the beehives in the backyard.

We rode our bikes into town as it was Market Day in Almelo where we picked up dinner for today and tomorrow…a BBQ chicken, veggies for a big salad and some garlic/basil olives! The cheese booths were calling…but we seem to have stockpiled many different cheeses from the past few breakfasts.

So, about dinners, as you may have noticed we don’t go to restaurants…neither do we at home. It seems you can get much fresher vegetables at the markets. For meat we usually go to the local butcher shop which often have a variety of precooked meat…a few days ago we had some wonderful smoked chicken breasts! We also prefer staying out in the country and not fond of riding home in the dark! It’s also way less expense to eat at our BNB…we have our own music or we can just listen to the birds!

Here are some pics Mark took today on our little loop around Almelo…
