Other than snorkelling, we have been doing a few other things around the Island.

We had a tour of True ÚTILA, which is just under two kilometers from Pumpkin Hill and only about 300 feet from Ironbound Beach, a place on the North Side of Utila that feels like something out of a storybook, or maybe like something our ancestors left behind. That’s exactly the goal of True Utila a botanical garden and conservation project.

This guy was not our tour guide but gave us a very friendly greeting at the gate!

And then there was a hike up Pumpkin Hill…Pumpkin Hill on Utila is a volcanic formation capped by basaltic rocks, which are remnants of pyroclastic cones. It stands as the highest point on the island at 74 meters (243 feet) and is part of the geological features that contribute to Utila's unique landscape. (Wikipedia)

At the top there used to a light house…
