Well our Vrienden Op De Fiets never fails to amaze! We have a beautiful house to ourselves just outside the Hoge Kempen National Park in Rekem. It is so comfortable…I don’t want to leave! I got to have a long soak in a big bathtub last night! Great for relaxing all those poor tired muscles and joints. Today we cycled into the park and then went for a lovely walk. At one point we came to an area that had some interesting wooden carved sculptures at various points along the trail.

There are more walking trails here than roads or cycle paths. We managed to dodge the rainy periods and pick up some supplies for dinner. Then we actually got to watch a movie on Netflix! What a great “rest day” it’s been and it’s a good thing because tomorrow we have 50+ kms to get to Beegden along the Maas.
