My how the time flies by when on a trip like this!

Since we left Zwolle, we have been following the Vecht River (Overijssel) not to be confused with the other Vecht River near Amsterdam. More or less we have been on the LF 16. LF routes criss cross the country and overlay with the Knooppunten routes, so you are able to mix and match to get to your destination.

The LF16 takes you along the meandering River Overijsselse Vecht from Zwolle to the German town of Darfeld. Once an important trade route, the river is now lined with picturesque villages and grand castles and manor houses.

So, we crossed the Vecht three times today!

Then onto our BNB just south of Ommen.
