This morning I am finally getting a chance to write. Our journey a few days ago from Lenz-Sud began with a rear flat tire for Mark. Luckily, it was flat before we left the hotel and the owner, Benny was kind enough to drive Mark, his bike and all our panniers to Malchow to the bicycle ‘doctor’. I cycled through the ‘Scottish mist’ ( it had rained through the night and more was on the way) about 7 kms. We sat and had a coffee under a large umbrella by the canal in Malchow watching four guys in small boat fishing in the rain.

We finally got under way in the downpour….it was another beautiful ride, but a bit hard to enjoy!

By the time we got to Krakow am See we were soaked…I felt like a wet sponge and looked like a drowned rat. We cranked the heat in our BnB and hung all our wet clothes/shoes to dry.

And now for a hot roast chicken dinner!
