Today we went from the Bodensee to the Baltic and then back again! Every campground we passed was chock-a-block packed with line ups at the entrances! There were masses of people/families cycling every where we looked! We happened across a lovely little craft market in Prerow…where we found some very lovely toques made of a merino wool/silk blend made in Germany. Perfect on this cool (12C) blustery day! It even fit under my helmet! We couldn’t figure out why it was so busy! Then we got to our destination at Barth and discovered not a single grocery store was open! Hmmm! Forgot it was a national holiday celebrating the reunification of Deutschland (Germany is the English name)! Fortunately I was able to get a few things for dinner at the Esso station…we survived.
