This is not our first visit to this city, but I must say that it has been one of the best. It truly has to do with location! For this stay, I spent a lot of time searching for just the right accommodation…and I seem to have scored with this AirBNB. It is right across the street from the lovely Alameda Park…a true oasis in the middle of the city. The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom to make particularly gorgeous. We are on the 14th floor so up here we have our own little (somewhat) quiet space. It is easy walking distance on mostly a pedestrian street all the way to the National Palace and central Zocalo.
you can see the Palace de Belles Artes in the distance…

Las casas de azuelas….aka Sanborn’s…a great restaurant and department store!

Chinatown….

Inside the Palace de Belles Artes…the marble is so gorgeous!

Diego Rivera’s most outstanding mural…Man at the Crossroads…

One of the many churches….

and the archeological site of the ancient Aztecs…
