The best adventure so far….
Today we went by speed boat out to Water Cay….a definite hi lite of our trip. The island is not much bigger than a football field, and its sandy shores are filled with swaying palm trees and pine trees. A morning stroll…
Part of our routine every day is to go for a walk and the best time is when it is cooler in the mornings. This is the way to the “beach”… There are no addresses here on the island…people just give names to their houses…. Lava from the volcano that is now Pumpkin Hill… You can see the coral was embed...
A Windy Day!
It was very windy with some pretty good wave action so we went for another walkabout around Pumpkin Hill…note the breakers and palms going sideways! There are these giant boulders that the volcano spewed out… The egrets and the cows have a special relationship! Another “beach”
More about fish!
Here are some more examples of the multitude of reef fish that we see all the time. It is very interesting to get to watch these fish and their habits up close! Here are the ‘blue chromis’ which are a schooling fish…. And these guys who perform an important role among the larger reef fish…the cleane...

An Island Paradise
well it was another crazy ride today! Down the bumpy muddy road to La Ceiba, then through crazy busy traffic and side streets to the ferry terminal! Getting somewhere?
Today we discovered that there is a whole new international airport in Mexico City(AIFA) This is where the bus to San Miguel de Allende departs from. It was like night and day from the main airport….so clean and shiny! And hardly any people.
A very busy city!
